Injectables & Fillers

Cosmetic Dentistry requires extensive knowledge and training in more than the teeth in the smile. It requires an understanding of Facial Harmony, Facial Expression, and Facial Anatomy.

Dentists have a detailed understanding of Facial Aesthetics, and have extensive training in the anatomy of the oral and maxillofacial region, as well as day-to-day understanding of how a smile must beautifully match the face - to create Dento-Facial Aesthetics.

Combining the aesthetics of the smile and the face has put Dentists at the forefront of facial aesthetics, with 'injectables' being an integral part of Cosmetic Dentistry. This term encompasses the use of anti-wrinkle treatment using botulinum toxin and dermal fillers.

The Richmond Dentists have received further training in the Australian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics, to provide safe, beautiful and natural results.

Anti wrinkle Injections: What is Botulinum Toxin?

Anti-wrinkle injections have been safely used to reduce wrinkles, and ease the tension of muscles for decades, and are well known by the brand names Botox® and Dysport®

It works by temporarily weakening the contraction of the muscles where it is placed, therefore alleviating pain and tension associated with clenching and bruxism.

It also reduces the creasing of the skin, thanks to calming the contractions of the muscles of facial expression.

Dermal Fillers

'Fillers' is the use of the natural Hyaluronic Acid found in the skin, to correct fine lines, enhance shape and increase volume of the skin and facial features

Previously patients needed to consult several different practitioners in order to achieve the dento-facial health and aesthetic results they were looking for.
